IBM News about selected servers with IBM Power10 technology
Hardware enhancements are available for the IBM® Power10 scale-up and Power10 scale-out server family, including:
- High-density 24-core processor for the IBM Power® S1014 system (9105-41B) to address application environments utilizing an Oracle Database with the Standard Edition 2 (SE2) licensing model, IBM Db2®, and others
- New SAP memory bundles for the IBM Power L1024 (9786-42H) and IBM Power L1022 (9786-22H) systems
- New Enterprise solid-state drive (SSD) Peripheral Component Interconnect® Express (PCIe) Generation 4 (Gen4) Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe) U.2 modules
This means that an S1014 with 24 cores will be available for Oracle SE2 from March 3, 2023!
